The Astukari Newsletter #97
Introduction
Welcome back! I’ve once again switched up the template just a tad to keep the “updates” focus as well as make it very easy for you to skim. As I mentioned before, if you miss the recommended reading section of this newsletter, go ahead and join the Discord link below (the second button, under New Releases). That will give you access to the #recommended-reading channel, where I remain posting the cool stuff I find. But let’s get on with the newsletter!

Updates
Creative Focus: Boys & Girls Part I. 22/44 chapters edited. Halfway mark! Also pretty much completely finished the planning for Part II. After Part I is released I intend to take a small break from B&G to finish a short(ish) story, then we’ll hit the ground running with Part II. There’s also been some really cool art of the characters I’ve been able to generate with Stable Diffusion — you’ll be able to see them on the B&G homepage soon, but in the meantime you can see them on the official wiki!
(You’ll also notice a Spotify playlist on the homepage. This is a list of all the music I listed to planning and writing for Parts I and II. I plan on eventually putting them in order as to how I visualize them in each segment of the book, likely more on that after Part I’s release)
JBR Focus: We’re working on building out more courses. Our first, Building A Business As An Artist, “shadow” released — we haven’t been doing a huge marketing push as we’re focused on getting one or two more courses made before then. But you can still purchase the course, get all the info inside it, discuss it within the JBR Community, etc. etc. Hope to expand and improve on each one as we get into the groove of things!
Astukari Focus: I have been paying attention that the podcast’s scheduled posts, after all this time, is beginning to wind down. Okay, we still have enough posts to fit until May 2023 — but I think it’s still worth considering the next steps. I honestly wouldn’t mind continuing to make audio versions of the blog posts, though I have fallen behind in actually attaching them to the posts they represent. And if I’m truly lazy, I can just start reuploading the episodes of MMC to the podcast. Either way, I see the podcast continuing into the future.
