Some changes to the newsletter - Astukari Newsletter #95
Introduction
As you can probably tell, there’s been some changes to this newsletter. I wanted to spend a quick moment talking about all the changes going forward:
Newsletter will now come out on Friday. This is probably the least consequential part of the updates. I have decided to move up the release by a single day, just so that I’m not working on the weekends. Release is still biweekly!
Newsletter will be focused on updates to stuff I’m making exclusively. I’ve recently remade the Discord for Astukari (you can find the button to join at the bottom of this newsletter) and as “incentive” to get people to join I’m posting my usual recommended reading there instead. It more conducive of a format because 1) I don’t have to struggle to get 5 reads every week, I can just post stuff as I find it, and 2) It’s easier for me to just post initially, with a few brief thoughts, then follow along with any further discussion, rather than the format I used here of typing up a small, formal paragraph for each link.
Join the discord! Like I mentioned, you can click the button down below (the second button, though I can understand if you also want a free book — in which case click both) to join the discord, get involved in the community, etc. We’ll be adding a lot more to the Discord as time goes on, so stay tuned… if you aren’t in the Discord, you can of course also keep updated through this newsletter :)
Astukari
Like I mentioned above, there’s a new Discord! But beyond the Discord and newsletter changes, there isn’t actually anything too new with Astukari, so I suppose that covers that.
JBR
As we continue to build out the community portion of JBR, we’ve added a new subreddit. You can also find a link to our Grant Database in JBR Tools.
Creative
19/44 chapters have been edited for Boys & Girls Part I. See also the new wiki page and Concepts art (soon will be replacing all edits with touched-up ML k-diffusion art instead).
Other
Nothing this week! But in the future keep in mind this will be for things like Apalla, Vox Jobuli, etc. etc.
