The sun dipped below the horizon, casting a blood-red glow upon the once-great city of Enthia. Yui Staav's heart raced as he and his fellow guardians approached the guarded entrance to the city. The air was thick with tension and fear. As they walked, Yui felt the cool wind whip through his cloak, sending shivers down his spine.
"Kalabbas!" Zeroi shouted, catching the attention of the grizzled captain standing watch at the entrance.
"Zeroi," Kalabbas replied, his voice weary but warm. "It's been too long. I pray you bring good news."
"Unfortunately not, Captain." Zeroi sighed as they all approached him. "I see as though we are too late. But we’ll try our best to help."
Kalabbas’ eyes narrowed. "We've already sent out the call for reinforcements, but I doubt they'll arrive in time. They struck swiftly, and their leader is formidable. Looks like one of the Frost Knights from old folklore stories."
Yui's pulse quickened, and his breath caught in his throat. This frost knight – it sounded eerily similar to the one from his vision. He glanced at his companions, wondering if any of them noticed his unease.
"Perhaps there is a way to stem the tide," Zeroi interjected. "There's an old relic hidden within the Library Archives that may help us hold off the invasion, at least temporarily." Yui could see the uncertainty in Zeroi's eyes; he knew this was a long shot.
"Then we must fight our way there first," Kalabbas declared, determination etched on his face. "We have no time to waste."
"Captain Kalabbas, we'll follow your lead," said Alistair, clutching his longsword at the ready.
"Very well," Kalabbas nodded. "Let's move out."
